Our Story

Forentrics began as a research-driven effort to bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and real-world forensic practice. What started as an academic project has grown into a company serving professionals across the globe.

PhD RESEARCH

2014
The foundations of HemoVision were laid during Philip's PhD, where he developed image computing techniques with a focus on bloodstain pattern analysis and virtual autopsies.

FIRST IABPA CONFERENCE

2015
Early HemoVision concepts were presented at the IABPA conference in Rome — the first of many. This was a turning point that introduced Philip to the global BPA community and sparked lasting professional relationships.

VALORIZATION

2020
Encouraged by feedback from practitioners, Philip began the valorization process to turn HemoVision into a usable product. The goal was clear: bring research out of the lab and into the hands of field experts.

OUR FIRST COLLABORATION

2022
Our first real-world test came through a collaboration with the Federal Judicial Police of Belgium. HemoVision was applied to actual crime scenes, shaping its development through hands-on experience.

COMPANY FOUNDATION

2023
With the tool validated and demand growing, Forentrics was founded and HemoVision officially launched — making next-generation BPA analysis accessible to investigators worldwide.

VISION-3D LAUNCH

2024
In collaboration with Eugene Liscio, we launched Vision-3D — a powerful tool for creating and sharing digital twins of crime scenes, optimized for communication in and out of the courtroom.

TODAY

2025
Today, Forentrics supports forensic professionals in over 14 countries, providing tools that combine scientific rigor with practical usability — helping investigators work faster, more accurately, and with greater confidence.
